My research interests lie at the intersection of mathematics and deep learning. I am exploring how to incorporate mathematical ideas into the design of new deep learning algorithms, while also investigating how deep learning can aid in solving challenging mathematical problems.

Yuxin Ma received her Ph. D in History from the University of Minnesota in 2003. Dr. Ma specializes in Modern Chinese history and offers survey courses in late imperial China, modern China and modern Japan.
