The game was originally designed for the Russian ZX Spectrum clone, the Pentagon which is slightly more powerful than the stock ZX Spectrum 128K.

Nope, at least not with the current msx hardware ! Just give it a try with the GFX9000 in combination with a nice boosted Turbo R or something. R800 > z80 @ 15MHz (or not?)

Turbo-R programming is all about wrestling with the VDP brake. braintstorming: in z80 mode dump the screen 2 colortable in 0.03 seconds. A 64x192 pixel mode dumping "33fps", probably the only way for Turbo-R to go fullscreen. Blocky 4 pixels screen, but fully texturemapped game. This is similar to Amiga copperscreen games.

2025年1月10日 · DOOM 1.0 for SymbOS is released now. One question related to SymbOS and this port, does SymbOS support CPC+ features, especially hardware sprites and the DMA for the sound ? It could be interesting for SymbOS apps to use it when available. If it isnt the case actually, could it be added later ?
