2009年8月9日 · The best option up until recently was to use 305HO heads, 416s or 601s. I just saw a set of these ZZ4 heads on ebay, the aluminum 1.94/1.50 58cc L98 D-port style heads for sale. I have read all over that they are good heads, and with a roller cam .474/.510 and 208*/221* @ .050" they make 355 HP/410 TQ with 10:1 compression.

Came across a set of zz4 aluminum heads for $500 with 10k miles on them. I know the zz4 have angle plugs and 58cc chambers. I still to buy a vortec specific intake...

2022年7月30日 · I have a zz4 crate motor in my chevelle. 20 years ago i put a comp XE-288HR cam in it with a edelbrock rpm air gap intake manifoIt’s topped off with a holley 750 double pumper and msd pro billet distributor and 6al box. Still using the zz4 L98 corvette heads untouched. Sounds great and has a ton of torque for a small block.

2009年11月25日 · My ZZ4 has Etec 200 heads and the GM hot cam with 1.6 HS rockers(218/228 and .525 each) and an Edelbrock rpm air gap for vortec intake, with a Race Demon RS 775 carb. $1300 won't touch that stuff. Used to run 11.70's in a 3320# car w/ 4.56 gears and a 5k verter. It's my spare engine and is currently in the car.

2012年11月17日 · L98/113 heads just arent that good to begin with, although they can be better with porting. I ported a set for a customer because he had them already, and was working with his budget. The stock seat rings dont leave any room to put a decent valve job in, so that doesnt help.

2009年8月13日 · the ZZ4- just like every other regular "ZZ" series engine ever built since about 1990 or whenever they came out- comes with the L98 Corvette aluminum heads on it. no exceptions. they have upgraded the heads over the years with the LT4 valve springs to replace the old "Z/28" springs from the earleir versions, but otherwise they are the same late 80's Vette heads they've always used.

2012年4月16日 · The Fastburns will give you probably the same amount of power as a worked set of zz4 heads with more potential to grow in the future. I also ran a cam similiar to yours..tad larger..used a shim gasket and a stock set of Trick Flow 195 heads and ran 12.20's in a 67 chevelle with a 4 speed and 4:10 gears.

1998年12月13日 · Then use Bosch plugs. The metal body of the Bosch plugs is about 1/4" shorter than anyone else's. It works. The plug number is Bosch HR 6 DC, it's a taper seat, .704" reach plug. Accel also lists a shorty header plug in their catalog but nobody around me (SoCal) could find it. Good luck, the ZZ4 heads are great.-----

2023年2月20日 · I have a dumb situation. My dad's '63 Vette has a 350, flat-top pistons, Vortec heads, ZZ4 cam, and a Performer Vortec (2116) intake. Runs great. The problem is hood clearance. I don't feel like I'm going to find a shorter intake in Vortec style than a Performer. I've been stuck running one...
