Zao Fox Village is a one-of-a-kind forest inhabited by foxes, that visitors can walk through. View the foxes ambling about or relaxing, hear them sing their distinct fox call, and even have your chance to feed and cuddle them. Located in the mountains near Shiroishi, there is a ‘village’ that is filled with over 100 animals and 6 different types of foxes. Zao Fox Village is one of the best places in Japan to go and see foxes. The foxes freely roam a preserve which visitors can enter.

Miyagi Zao Fox Village, also known as Kitsune Mura, is a tourist attraction and sanctuary for foxes in Shiroishi, Miyagi, Japan where visitors can feed and interact with foxes.

Despite the bullish price tag, it is easier to access compared to the fox garden outside Hokkaido called Zao in Miyagi Prefecture, and it would make sense to be able to see such lovely foxes up close on Honshu without having to travel all the way to Hokkaido.
