(3) To investigate novel functional peptides, including cytosolic peptides and immuopeptides, particularly those encoded by small open reading frames.

She is an insightful professor in her research areas who gives her students patient instructions and keen advice. Dr. Zhao always shared her bright ideas and academic resources with me for my works. She introduced me to the promising field of proteomics research and fostered me with properties as an outstanding researcher.

Qian Zhao received the B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China, in 2009 and 2015, respectively. He was a Visiting Scholar with Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, USA, from 2013 to 2014. He is currently a Lecturer with the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Xi’an Jiaotong University.
