Yumichika doesnt want to reveal the true nature of Shikai, because Zaraki put a 0 kido usage on Squad 11 and now he fears he is going to be kick out of squad. He's won't get kicked out, he'll just be seen as weaker than them because squad 11 is focused on physical prowess rather than something like Kido. And I don't think its banned.
