ZAZ or Zaporizhzhia Automobile Building Plant (Ukrainian: ЗАЗ, Запорізький автомобілебудівний завод, Zaporiz'kyi avtomobilebudivnyi zavod or Zaporiz'kyi avtozavod) is the main automobile manufacturer of Ukraine, based in the south-eastern city of Zaporizhzhia.

ZAZ Zaporozhets (Russian: Запоро́жец pronunciation ⓘ) was a series of rear-wheel-drive superminis (city cars in their first generation) designed and built from 1958 at the ZAZ factory in Soviet Ukraine. Different models of the Zaporozhets, all of which had an air-cooled engine in the rear, were produced until 1994.

ZAZ Tavria (Ukrainian: ЗАЗ Таврія) is a range of front-wheel-drive subcompact cars produced by the Soviet and then Ukrainian manufacturer ZAZ. ZAZ-1102 Tavria[1] and subsequent ZAZ-1102 Tavria Nova, ZAZ-1105 Dana, ZAZ-1103 Slavuta and ZAZ-11055 Tavria Pick-Up replaced the rear wheel drive Zaporozhets series in the product lineup.

ZAZ-965 is the Soviet passenger car, belonging to A class, produced in the period from 1960 to 1963 (965A - from 1962 to 1969). 322,166 copies, including their modifications rolled off the assembly line for 9 years of production.

Since 1987, ZAZ began to produce a small front-drive hatchback “Tavria” with a 51 hp engine. The company’s products were in demand and by the end of the decade the annual production of cars Zaporizhzhya plant reached 80 thousand.

Maker "ZAZ" – history, photos, models. The Zaporozhye automobile plant "Kommunar" was founded on the basis of a factory of the same name, which was engaged in the production of agricultural machinery. During 1958–1961, the enterprise was converted to produce the ZAZ-965 Zaporozhets passenger model, partly developed at MZMA in Moscow.

ZAZ-968 is a legendary "small car" of Zaporozhye automobile plant, which was produced from 1971 to 1994. It has three main modifications (968, 968A, 968M), traditional rear engine arrangement and entered the history of the Soviet automobile industry as a people's car of "especially low class".
