2022年11月16日 · Make a .ZDL file for your mod and copy the filename (i.e Abysm - Dawn of Innocence.zdl). Go into Steam and click "Add a Game", choose "Add a Non-Steam Game" and select ZDL.exe. Once added, right-click on ZDL.exe in your Steam Library and choose properties. Change "ZDL" to the name of your mod (i.e. Abysm 1 - Dawn of Innocence).

2021年5月12日 · I use GZDoom as the source port and ZDL as a launcher. So when you normally launch GZDoom (by draggin and dropping a wad file onto the .exe), there is (usually) a startup window that comes up that lets you select a few video settings, and lets you pick the game file (iwad) to launch whatever wad you're playing.

2023年4月12日 · Why is ZDL designed in such a way that despite the fact that I require the base WADs to be in the GZDoom folder to play them, it still requires me to have the WADs in ZDL, effectively having 2 sets of the same goddamn information? That seem like a massive optimization oversight.

2011年1月27日 · I'm going to offer some general advice as I've had the network zdoom headaches before: simplify it as much as possible to start. Zip up the directory you are using and send it to friends so you are sure they're using the same files, and skip ZDL altogether. All you have to do is load it with the -host # command and they have to use -join yourip.

I did this all in one take, so I probably messed up on some stuff. If there's anything you think I should correct/add/remove or generally do better, please let me know.

2018年1月1日 · This is a nice guide. I use ZDL and was actually trying to load map of chaos.wad from the "IWADS" , by selectingon it and then "launch". No good. Only later I realized that it should appear only in the "External Files" section...
