Online Zed Beam Property Calculator. Using the structural engineering calculator located at the top of the page (simply click on the the "show/hide calculator" button) the following properties can be calculated: Area of a Zed Beam; Perimeter of a Zed Beam; Centroid of a Zed Beam; Second Moment of Area (or moment of inertia) of a Zed Beam
Z-Sections, Steel Zees | Cross-Section Properties & Analysis
The stand - alone program SHAPE-MASSIVE determines section properties of any thick - walled cross - section and calculates the stresses. In addition, you can perform reinforced concrete design according to Eurocode 2 and other standards.

Secondary Structural Steel Members – Z Purlins and Girts. TWIST IS MEASURED WITH THE ZEE LAYING ON A FLAT SURFACE UNDER ITS OWN WEIGHT. NET VARIATION FOR COMBNED DIMENSION. Thickness indicated represents design thickness.
List of dimensions for Zeta I, Zeta II, Zed and channel sections
The scaled-down model skeleton was made of DX51D+Z C-shaped 89 × 41 × 12 × 1 mm steel elements connected by 4.8 × 16 mm self-tapping screws (STS) and 5.5 × 25 mm self-drilling screws (SDS).
Structural Steel Members - Steel z purlins & z girts - Flexospan
Flexospan provides standard, even-profile Z purlins and Z girts as well as custom profiles and punching patterns. We manufacture any component from 1/2" steel subgirts to 12" section up to 10 gauge. Steel z purlins and z girts are also available with other depths and flange widths.
Zed - Piping Designer
A Zed beam, or Z-section beam, has a cross-sectional shape resembling the letter "Z," with flanges (horizontal top and bottom parts) that are parallel and connected by a vertical web. The flanges are usually smaller in width than those of an I-beam, and they extend outward from the web at the top and bottom.

Z-purlins are thin-gauge lightweight construction elements which are mainly used as roof purlins and sheeting rails. They are easy and economical to manufacture from flat steel of 1,5mm to 4mm thickness by roll forming or bending. Usually strip galvanized flat steel is used.
Z-sections used as beams loaded in the plane of the web against twisting. This requirement applies when (a) the top flange is connected to deck or sheathing lateral deflection of the connected flange, or (b) neither flange is connected. 11.It is the customer’s responsibility to specify to ExSteel
