Zhan Xugang (Chinese: 占旭刚; born May 15, 1974, in Kaihua County, Zhejiang) is a former male Chinese weightlifter and later politician. He is the first Chinese weightlifter to win gold at two consecutive Olympic, at the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games .

2024年3月14日 · Male weightlifter Zhan Xugang was born on May 15, 1974 in Kaihua, Zhejiang Province. He was selected to Zhejiang provincial weightlifting team from Kaihua County Youth Sports School in 1987 and entered the national weightlifting team in 1994.

2025年2月16日 · Starting to practice weightlifting in 1984, Zhan entered the Zhejiang provincial team in 1987, and become a member of the national team seven years later. He was champion in men's 70 kg in the 1993 and 1994 World Junior Weightlifting Championships, and won the gold in men's 70 kg for China in the 1994 Asian Games.

2023年9月8日 · Zhan Xugang was born in Quzhou, Zhejiang Province in 1974. He broke records and won gold medals in the National Games, the Asian Championships, the World Weightlifting Championships, and other competitions. In 1993, he was titled as “Master of Sports of the International Class”.
