Over 600 years old, Zía Pueblo has two plazas, each with a kiva, surrounded by one and two-story traditional dwellings of native rock surfaced with mud. Zia Pueblo is home to the Spanish mission of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, the construction of which began around 1694.

The Pueblo of Zia envisions a self-sustaining tribal organization. An organization where all programs develop, improve and impact the community in a positive manner.

The Pueblo of Zia offers annual employee training, new hire orientation, and various department trainings. The Pueblo of Zia continuously develops new ideas for employees to learn and achieve new knowledge about their job at the Pueblo.

The Pueblo of Zia Enrichment Library features several rooms such as a Computer Lab, Study Areas, Activity Space, and a Conference Room. The library provides access to books, newspapers, magazines, computers, DVDs and the Internet for patrons of all ages.

The Pueblo of Zia has operated a contemporary court since 2007. It is a court of general jurisdiction and oversees criminal and civil hearings. Currently the Court staff consists of a Chief Judge (part-time), a court clerk and a part time probation officer.
