Zimo Zhang, Research Associate. I graduated from Peking University with a B.S. in Life Sciences. Previously I worked in Dr. Yan Song’s lab at Peking University where I studied the development of Drosophila central nervous system. Now, I am interested in mechanisms underlying brain-body interactions, especially in settings of neurological disease.

Following my interest in biology, I hope to understand how stem cells self-renew and differentiate during the whole developmental process. I am a lively and enthusiastic girl from Jinan, ShanDong. Out of curiosity about the world and life, I majored in Life Sciences in East China Normal University for my undergraduate study.

Zimo is a recent graduate from M.S. in Biostatistics & Data Science at Weill Cornell Medicine. She joined Mallick Lab as a research assistant in February. Zimo is passionate about applying advanced statistical techniques, including longitudinal modeling and meta analysis, to uncover key insights in healthcare data.

ELSE was founded by Zhifei Xu (Fei) and Zimo Zhang in 2023. ELSE is a cross-disciplinary design firm that pursues innovation and boundary-breaking in everyday reality. With an international background, the firm conducts design work simultaneously in the United States, Europe, and China, and has completed projects in both China and Europe.
