2023年8月8日 · When I noticed that you have to slide a counterweight onto the AM5 to beat the maximum weight that the AM3 is capable of I realized that ZWO positioned these two mounts more cleverly than many internet pundits first thought. I agree that the AM3 is not that much smaller than the AM5, but that observation misses the point.

2023年4月21日 · ZWO says the AM5 can handle 13kg without a counterweight, and 20kg with one. For the AM3 they say 8kg and 13kg. It is often said for standard GEMs that the rated capacity is an overstatement, that one should try to use only half of it for imaging, though you might do shaky visual closer to the limit.
