In this review, we focus on the current evidence for treating MRSA infections with linezolid and discuss its pharmacologic and antimicrobial properties. In particular, recent studies on linezolid for treatment of MRSA pneumonia will be evaluated. A literature search using the PubMed database was conducted using the keywords “linezolid” and “MRSA.”
