Starting this afternoon, on the S Bend and Lafayette local channels we pull off of the outside antenna, we are seeing the message "Local Channel Connector not detected." Does that mean the AM21 has issues? I know the antenna is sound as we get a great picture on the tv by choosing local tuner and bypassing Directv.

2017年7月29日 · My AM21 stopped working and the HR24 display showed both off-air tuners as "removed". Tried resetting, different USB cable, etc. but no joy. I decided to crack open the AM21 and noticed that two of the 10uF 250V capacitors were bulging a bit. Replaced both caps and it works again. $2.50 in parts and a bit of soldering - not bad.

2009年11月25日 · The AM21 works with the HR21/22/23 and the H21 and H23 receivers. As for what channels you'll receive it's all based on what DirecTV says you can get OTA for your zip code, the AM21 doesn't scan for channels like some other ATSC tuners. Of course that assumes that you have a good OTA signal and antenna so you can receive those stations.

2018年12月19日 · The AM21 was originally free to me, so complete loss of the tuner costs me nothing other than some inconvenience in being able to record OTA. All my TV's have OTA antenna connections already. Interestingly, with the tuner box removed, all the OTA channels the guide listed are still showing up.

2024年7月25日 · I connected a AM21 to: power, the HS17's USB port and an antenna to the antenna input. I could not get any on-screen indication that the AM21 was connected to the HS17 (no setup menu). I did a hard reboot of the HS17 (pressing red button on right side), but it was still a no go with no indication the HS17 recognized the AM21 was connected.

2017年7月15日 · You won't get an integrated guide and having to switch TV inputs is a PIA. But you will get a superior product to the AM21 where you frequently have to jump-through-hoops to fool it into receiving the more recent sub-channels (mostly with the wrong guide data) not carried in DIRECTV's limited database.

2014年7月8日 · Hello. I have a DirecTV HR24-100 DVR and I recently purchased the AM21 Off-Air Tuner to receive off air channels. Before I bought it, I had my antenna hooked up directly to the TV. I was getting 6 channels. All were around 55-60% signal strength. I hooked up the AM21, did the Initial Setup and everything, and now I'm only getting 3 channels.

2003年10月13日 · The sensitivity on my AM21 is rather poor when compared to my Silicondust receiver or my HDTVs. When DTV launched the AM21N circa 2011, did they use a new generation tuner chip or was the change merely cosmetic?
