At that point, I gave up on the made in USA "Scott" brand of plug wires and grabbed one of the LS376/480 OEM, straight boot wires and put it on. The engine fired right up and the right AFR seemed to be much smoother idling in my driveway. However, the fully warmed up engine still seemed to idle high; 1050 RPM vs the programmed 800 RPM idle.

I have a brand new Holley 4150 carb and I can not get the idle down. I have the idle mixture screws only 1/2 turn out, and I backed the high idle screw on the electric choke almost all the way out. The curb idle screw is not even touching the throttle linkage and my car is idling between 1500 & 2000 RPM in park, and 1000 RPM in gear.

2020年4月2日 · I started it and it ran smoothly at the correct RPM for over a minute then the RPM swing began. I datalogged the start, but for some reason the datalog is done at 70 seconds. One thing I found odd was the IAC% went from 25%, which is the IAC Parked Position, to 72% and then back to 25% over 56 seconds and then the erratic idling began.

2018年7月10日 · After running down the road a couple of miles I stopped and let it idle. It was idling at about 1050. I readjusted it back to around 800 and then took it for another trip and ran a couple of datalogs. I will post them in a little while. After I shut the engine off I tried to start it again and it fired right up.
