What does the miniDSP do, exactly? And, as a bonus question, is there any difference in purchasing the umik-1 from miniDSP directly, or getting it through Cross Spectrum?

2021年10月31日 · It is fairly cheap ($20). But I just bought a miniDSP DDRC-24 kit, which came with the UMIK-1. So I used REW to take some measurements, to see how the UMIK-1 compared to the iMM-6. 2019年4月26日 · I have both, the UMIK-1 works fine, but the 90° calibration file on my UMIK-2 is unusable, I contacted MiniDSP support and told them that the file was wrong and support basically stopped answering after I sent a bunch of measurements to prove it, so I have a useless UMIK-2 and have read other people having the same issue with UMIK-2.

2021年12月4日 · If you want to spend more money for some potential benefit, get an individually calibrated UMIK-1 from CSL or buy your own and send it to them for calibration. It will be more accurate at lowers frequencies (think below 20 Hz and into single digits). MiniDSP batch calibrated so the CSL does provide an improvement.

Unfortunately, everything I've found won't quite fit my bill. In order to reach the back of my MLP seat, I need a boom extension of about 45 inches.
