Nofret was a noblewoman and princess who lived in Ancient Egypt during the 4th dynasty of Egypt c. 2613 to 2494 BC. Nefert means "beautiful". Nofret is alternatively known as Nefert or Neferet.

Prince Rahotep and his wife Nofret life-like painted limestone statues are considered among the most famous private statues from ancient Egypt. The statues were discovered in the mastaba tomb (a tomb in the form of a rectangular platform) of Rahotep, north of the pyramid of Snefru, in Meidum, dating to the reign of King Snefru of the 4th Dynasty.

This statue depicts Queen Nofret seated upon a throne, adorned with a Hathor wig characterized by three distinct tresses. One voluminous tress cascades down her back, while two wavy strands are drawn forward, wrapped in slender bands that culminate over her breasts in spirals encircling decorative disks.
