Joining him are three of his fellow Seattle hometown’s most revered players: Andy Coe on electric guitar, Evan Flory Barnes on upright bass and Dvonne Lewis on drums. “I’ve always been inspired by Fela Kuti and Steve Reich,” explains Skerik. “This sparked the idea to start a band built around rhythmic and minimalist concepts.”

Best known as a pioneer in the saxophonics playing style, Skerik is both the frontman of his group, Skerik's Syncopated Taint Septet, & has released two solo albums. Skerik has also performed alongside Les Claypool and Brad Mowen (amongst others), who is a session/live member of Skerik's jazz rock/metal group, Crack Sabbath.
