YY1 - Wikipedia
YY1 (Yin Yang 1) [5] is a transcriptional repressor protein in humans that is encoded by the YY1 gene. [6][7] YY1 is a ubiquitously distributed transcription factor belonging to the GLI-Kruppel class of zinc finger proteins. The protein is involved in …
Y chromosome - Wikipedia
In mammals, the Y chromosome contains the SRY gene, which triggers development of male gonads. The Y chromosome is passed only from male parents to male offspring. The Y chromosome was identified as a sex-determining chromosome by Nettie Stevens at Bryn Mawr College in 1905 during a study of the mealworm Tenebrio molitor.
Systematic identification of Y-chromosome gene functions in
2025年1月23日 · For some genes, knockouts (KOs) have never been made. In this study, we established a pipeline to systematically generate null Y-gene deletions and performed extensive fertility phenotyping, thereby determining which genes are …
The Silene latifolia genome and its giant Y chromosome | Science
2025年2月6日 · We found several MFF candidate genes, including slCyp704B1-Y (gene ID scaffold1_000971), which is homologous to the A. thaliana Cyp704B1 gene, encoding a cytochrome P450 protein crucial for pollen maturation. slCyp704B1-Y is expressed in the
人类Y染色体的演化 - chinagene.cn
This review focuses on the structure, inheritance characteristics, gene content, and the origin and evolution of Y chromosome. We also discuss the long-term destiny of Y chromosome. Key words: Y-chromosome degeneration, recombination suppression, evolutionary strata, transcriptome
The Tomato Yellow Leaf Curl Virus Resistance Genes Ty-1 and Ty-3 …
2013年3月28日 · Here, we describe the precise mapping of Ty-1 and Ty-3 to a common chromosomal region, and we show that Ty-1 and Ty-3 are alleles that code for an RNA–dependent RNA polymerase of a class for which no function had been described before. Thus, Ty-1/Ty-3 unveils a completely new class of resistance genes.
Natural resistance of tomato plants to Tomato yellow leaf curl virus
2022年12月19日 · The Ty-1/Ty-3 gene from chilense (LA1969) encodes an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase that participates in antiviral RNA silencing and was the first and only TYLCV dominant resistance gene to be cloned. Ty-1 and Ty-3 are RDR type homologs of A. thaliana RDR3, RDR4, and RDR5 genes, which have yet to be assigned functions (Verlaan et al., 2013).
Ty‐1, a universal resistance gene against geminiviruses that is ...
2019年11月22日 · Tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV), a begomovirus, causes large yield losses and breeding for resistance is an effective way to combat this viral disease. The resistance gene Ty-1 codes for an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase and has recently been shown to enhance transcriptional gene silencing of TYLCV.
The Tomato Yellow Leaf Curl Virus resistance genes Ty-1 and Ty-3 …
Breeding for TYLCV resistance has been based on the introgression of multiple resistance genes originating from several wild tomato species. In this study we have fine-mapped the widely used Solanum chilense-derived Ty-1 and Ty-3 genes by screening nearly 12,000 plants for recombination events and generating recombinant inbred lines.
