2020年2月26日 · Hornady’s 5.56mm 55 grain GMX TAP Barrier ammunition (#81255) uses the same 55 grain GMX projectile that is available as a reloading component. The 55 grain GMX bullet is a monolithic hollow-point, but unlike similar monolithic bullets such as the all-copper Barnes TSX, the Hornady GMX is made from gilding metal (95% copper and 5% zinc).

Then re-read what I actually wrote in my above post, "55 grain GMX .224" projectile," and then re-look at the picture of the actual 55 grain GMX .224" projectile that I posted. The pictures that you posted are nothing but stock pictures from Hornady of larger caliber GMX projectiles.

2012年6月25日 · Re: Hornady GMX problems - help needed Well with my finding using GMX's, is that they have a secant design and are very sensitive to seating depth. I have shot these GMX's out of 3 rifles and had great results, but they do require some time.

2020年5月23日 · I purchased three boxes of Hornady's 70gr. monolithic bullets, the GMX series, only to discover that Hornady says they won't stabilize in a 1:8 twist barrel. Unfortunately this is exactly what I have, 16" Wylde chamber, 1:8 twist in an auto-loader AR-15. I loaded five rounds, H335@23gr. even just to see if I'd get keyholes at 100 yards. Nada.

2019年10月19日 · The older GMX 70gr. in 223 will kill a big hog or deer @ 100 yards no problem. But the CX is unobtanium at the moment. Latest test round, not sure the barrel is 100% broken in as I have less than 100 rounds in it (5R button rifled).
