This radio sports activity deals with the taking of radio bearings to navigate through wooded areas in search of transmitters.

The mission of the Alternatives Research & Development Foundation (ARDF) is to fund and promote the development, validation, and adoption of non-animal methods in biomedical research, product testing, and education. ARDF stands for "automatic reversing document feeder," and is a type of document feeder commonly found on photocopiers and multifunction printers. An ARDF works by automatically feeding pages of a document through the scanner or copier one at a time, but with the added feature of automatically reversing the pages to scan or copy the other side.
