The Comac C919 is a narrow-body airliner developed by Chinese aircraft manufacturer Comac. The development program was launched in 2008. Production began in December 2011, with the first prototype being rolled out on 2 November 2015; the maiden flight took place on 5 May 2017. On 29 September 2022 the C919 received its CAAC type certificate.

2024年12月20日 · “The number of passengers carried by the domestically produced C919 aircraft exceeded 1 million today, and the one millionth passenger is on this flight,” the airline’s crew announced. The first commercial aircraft entirely developed in China, the C919 is a narrow-body jet in the same category as the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737.

The C919 is operated by a flight crew of two and a cabin crew of five, depending on the configuration (dual/single class). The average salary for a captain of an A320 is $192,100, with an average base pay of $139,400 and $52,600 in additional pay.
