The Minnesota Thunder Academy girls program was one of the 40 inaugural member clubs of the new Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) in 2009, creating the highest level of female youth soccer in the United States.

The ECNL Boys program provides a top level, club-based, development, training, and competition platform for male youth soccer players in the United States. The ECNL provides conference competition in six age groups (U13, U14, U15, U16, U17, and U18/19), and provides maximum collegiate exposure through multiple Boys ECNL National Events.

Entering its 11th season, the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) features 96 of the nation’s best girls soccer programs taking the field in 2019-2020.

An ECNL team will be formed for both Boys & Girls at birthyears 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008 and 2006/2007. Girls’ Pre-ECNL teams will be formed at 2013 and 2014 birthyears. Boys’ Pre-ECNL team will be formed at 2013 and 2014 birthyears. For Juniors teams (U9-U12) , we expect to form 2-4 teams at each age group.
