The German GSG-9 (GSG 9 of the Federal Police, German: GSG 9 der Bundespolizei) is one of the groups in the Counter-Terrorist faction. The unit was founded by Ulrich Wegener , after the Munich Massacre in 1972 as part of the then Bundesgrenzschutz ("Federal Border Protection"), which was renamed Bundespolizei ("Federal Police") in 2005.

GSG 9 is deployed for counter-terrorism, hostage rescue, and high-risk law enforcement operations, including responses to kidnapping, extortion, and serious organized crime. An increasing number of arrests by GSG 9 are conducted in the area of cybercrime, which often requires quick action to preserve evidence.

They're awesome, especially if you've got some Counter-Strike 1.6 GSG-9 Nostalgia. These work on most PASGT clones, but also work on ACH/ECH designs, as well as M1 designs thanks to the drawstring attachment method.

2022年12月1日 · The BGS had swamp camouflage clothing and hoods from which helmet covers were made anyway. The Berlin State Police also had swamp camouflage uniforms. No helmet covers or nets appear to have been used on the GSG9. Allegedly, there was an attempt to wear single-colored helmet covers in RAL 6012.
