2023年10月10日 · This happened to me last weekend. 4 prong and RC2 that was checked with my alignment rod. I’ve shot at least two cases of ammo with the setup. I had a can of Freedom Munitions ammo and on the second mag a shot launched 15’ right. The round destabilized and bounced off the last three baffles and hit the end cap.

2023年6月12日 · I have the same exact strike on my RC2 from my 10.3” Geissele near clone urgi upper shooting Remington .223 55 grain. The 4 prong was factory installed by Geissele and untouched.

2023年4月28日 · RC2 was finally cleared today (9 months) and I noticed some hot spots (shiny metal points where some type of contact has been made on a few of the baffles. Is this the result of something that occurs during their production process? Any ideas? Figured someone would know or have one for comparison since they’re so common and popular.

2023年3月1日 · Does the 5.56 RC2 use full Inconel baffles or is it a mix of Inconel and SS? Just ordered mine so the long wait begins. Pretty sure it's just iconel. “Precision-built of advanced high-temp Inconel alloys and stainless steel.” A Surefire rep once claimed here they were 100% inconel despite what it says on the website.

But a lot more suppressor manufacturers use inconel as the blast baffle, like the YHM Resonator K (pictured) or the SureFire SOCOM556-RC2. Compared to stainless steel and inconel, stellite is extremely tough and corrosion resistant.

2010年4月18日 · I called Surefire to start the RMA process and told them exactly what happened. They said send it in for evaluation. I assumed it was unfixable and I would have to wait 14 months for a new can. Three weeks later, the suppressor is returned looking brand new. They replaced the baffle stack, however the end cap, tube, and lock collar were unscathed.
