2015年11月5日 · Apparently Loomis comes highly recommended. But I have the same problem with it that I have had with all other figure drawing books: they don’t actually tell you in detail what to do. They don’t consist of structured lessons that say things like “now make ten copies of this drawing, then draw two of the same figure from imagination.”

2015年9月25日 · Those two books taught me more about colored pencils than most anything else, as for composition, design, and other related topics the old books in other mediums have all that covered better than anything that is colored pencil specific.

2003年8月8日 · What do you think are the best landscape books? I got a couple in the mail today from amazon.com. I got an anatomy of trees book by Rex Vicat Cole. It looks really good. 350 pages packed full of info and great illustrations. It looks like the only book I’ll ever need to read about drawing & painting trees.

2013年10月20日 · Thanks Dave :thumbsup: I have a couple of Dover books, they’re great for the price but I hadn’t seen the Dover library site before. I have 3 books by Hale all are great, the drawing lessons one is probably the best but the Anatomy Lessons from the masters is great too.
