Nissan should be ASHAMED of the way they have handled this situation (and to be honest several other issues I am hearing about from owners of other models). These CVT's in the Rogue has been a disaster and Nissan ignored owners for YEARS over it. When they finally acknowledged the problem, we got a half-hearted warranty extension.

2020年4月10日 · The CVT's in the 08, 09 and 10's were really problematic, so much so that Nissan had to extend the warranty on them. Nissan recommends that the CVT fluid be checked every 30k miles. The engine is pretty solid, so I can't recall any major issues that need tending to.

2014年10月7日 · I brought my '08 Rogue S AWD in to Boulder Nissan this morning and they installed the transmission cooler and replaced the transmission fluid. They even washed the car! I have not had a chance to test to make sure that this has fixed the problem of the transmission going into safe mode but certainly the new fluid has already made a difference ...

2013年9月16日 · I took my Rogue to the dealer two months ago and they told me there was a recall and they recalibrated the transmission. Last week had the same problem, car losing power on the highway going 70-75 mph and now they tell me transmission needs to be replaced and it's going to cost around $4000.00 because miles exceed warranty by 2000 miles.

Could just need reprogramming, or could need a new transmission, and a few things in between… This needs to go to a transmission shop or the dealer, dealer preferred unless an independent trans shop specializes in CVT’s… This may or may not apply to you…

I purchased a 2010 rogue. after 200 mi. it needed a new CVT transmission. This was only determined after replacing a,"coupler", rear differential, and after bringing in an"engineer from Nissan they installed a new transmission.

2023年4月7日 · I’ve since learned of the problems with the CVT transmission in this vehicle. This model is part of a class action suit whereby Nissan extended its warranty to 84 months/84.000 miles I believe. The vehicle has under 50,000 miles , however it appears to be close to or just past the listed month’s requirement which would render the warranty void.
