2007年1月7日 · What I'm trying to do, basically, is come up with a low cost, higher-power amp using 1625's, which are basically the equivalent of the 807, except having a 12.6v filament and offbeat 7-pin socket. The 1625's are war surplus in big supply, and are ony about $5 just about everywhere for NOS, and can do up to 100w with just 1 tube, they say.

2020年9月7日 · My friend drew up the schematic based on what we had on hand. The rectifiers are RCA 816 mercury vapors, power tubes triode wired 1625, and driven by 6J5GT. The 6J5 are half a 6SN7 and I've been collecting them for years... I'll do distortion and power ratings soon. The meters need a little tweaking but sounds ok so far. Wow. Very nice.

2023年3月6日 · I also made an UNSET PCB for the 1625, pic below. I modeled my circuit with using the 12GN7A in triode made for the driver and the LTSpice simulations are excellent. The planned transformer is 5.2K PP which Edcor has and I biased for mostly class A. Power output is about 25W at clipping and 20W in class A.

1 天前 · Here is the newest amp I just completed. It is a SE Triode strapped 1625. It is made with Goncalo Alves - a sustainable tropical wood that has a class A fire rating. The sound is very clear and transparent with nice timbre. I designed it to put out an estimated 5W, though I need to take measurements on it.

5 天之前 · The 1625 JAN tube is electrically equivalent to the 807/ATS25. As Such my first recommendation would be that you take a look at the recent SE ATS25/807 two stage amp thread and make the appropriate changes for the heater voltage and the base pin out. Take a quick look at the schematics posted there and see what you think. It's all about the Glass!
