The Bosh 5.x ABS modules drop communication at road speeds which makes it difficult, if not impossible, to log live measuring block data. If the Brake Light Switch is suspected as faulty and causing a G201 fault:

VW Golf V & Touran ABS Pump Module fault. Fault code: 01435 - Brake Pressure Sensor 1 (G201) This ABS Pump Module is a very common failure for the VW Golf Mk5 2004 - 2008 and Touran vehicles built between 2003 - 2015. The fault causes the ESP light to illuminate permanently on the instrument cluster & the ESP OFF switch will be illuminated also.

2005年1月20日 · Not sure what to tell you about the brake pressure sensor. I've not heard of them going bad, so if it does come back with that same DTC, I would susspect the wiring harness terminals for said sensor (be it at the sensor or at the ABS module).

One issue was the old style brake light switch located under the dash on the MKV, and another with the internal pressure sensor of the MK60 ABS control. None seemed to cover this issue on the MKVI and model year.

2023年9月19日 · The ESP light alone usually indicates the pressure sensor, called a G201, inside the pump has failed. You need to start with a code read of the ABS to see if the relevant code is stored. This was a huge problem with the PQ35 platform (Golf 5 etc) to such an extent it WAS a goodwill fix from VW but that expired long ago.

Sensor 01435 - break pressure sensor no.1. The code will not clear. The tester thought this was probably the sensor on the driver's side, but was not sure. I'm assuming that there is a different sensor for each wheel. Does anyone have any experience …

I have viewed the blocks associated with the brake pressure and the sensor is out of range as it is displaying "214.83 bar Brake Pressure Sensor" The brake pedal switch is functioning correctly. are these faults coincedental or is there maybe a wiring harness issue? any ideas?
