2023年12月23日 · I just bought a 2024 Escalade V. It has a variant of the LT4. Cadillac states that it takes 0W-40 Dexos 2 (ESP) oil. While I have just sent a message to Mobil 1 via their web-site on this question, I'm trying to understand the differences (formula-wise) between these oils. Some on the internet are saying that ESP has now been renamed Supercar.

2015年8月5日 · M1 FS 0w-40 meets several more difficult specs just like Castrol 0w-40. The Euro lubes (and M1 0w-40 was the original SRT service fill until Pennzoil got the contract via the FIAT acquisition) have, on paper, superior physical properties over the SRT 0w-40, including lower Noack. They definitely go through significantly more testing.

2017年6月28日 · Yes delvac esp 0w-40 is a phenomenal oil with its 4.1 hths and its 14.6 kv100 is similar to any other 15w-40 with a 4.1 hths as well yet still has a low vii of 176. It's just hard to get and very pricey. The 5w-40 is a lot more common and cheaper but a bit less good but not bad. 3.8 hths with 13.8 kv100. Same -48 pour point with a vii of 169.
5w-30 versus 0w-40? | BobIsTheOilGuy

Normally, an oil like 0w-40 would carry a bunch of stringent mfg LL specs (example: M1 0w-40), which would make it suitable for long drains, say 15-20K miles.

There are I think two others, Red Line and Amsoil, that are supposed to meet this spec, but I do not want to use a hard to find oil.
