I haven't tried DMAA, but currently use DMHA in a preworkout, which is probably worth checking out - pretty sure companies can still legally sell it pretty much everywhere other than Australia. It's supposed to have ~80% the effectiveness of DMAA. I take 175-200mg before a workout, but have also been using it as a nootropic occasionally as well.
