DIN EN 1.4541 stainless steel (X6CrNiTi18-10) is a variant version of 1.4301. The addition of titanium stabilizes carbides without sensitization, because titanium forms more stable carbides than chromium. These carbides remove carbon from the solid solution and prevent the precipitation of chromium carbide.

1.4541 is also suitable for laser beam fusion cutting with nitrogen or flame cutting with oxygen. The cut edges only have small heat affected zones and are generally free of micro cracks and thus are well formable. While choosing an applicable process the fusion cut edges can be converted directly.
