2017年5月19日 · Just noting that 10.0.0.0/24 is an invalid subnet. The first valid subnet within the 10.0.0.0/8 (Class A) network, now sliced with a /24 subnet mask is... 10.0.1.0/24. You have to throw away the top/bottom on the network side just like you do for the top/bottom for the host side of that bitmask. For the same reason, 10.255.255.0/24 is also invalid.

2017年6月28日 · The point of the subnet mask is to identify how big each network is. RFC 1918 says you can use the 10.0.0.0 /8 network for private use. That network consists of 16,777,216 addresses going from 10.0.0.0 through 10.255.255.255. However, what many people do is to split that one large network up into smaller networks (also called subnets).

Consider the class A network 10.0.0.0 to 10.255.255.255 (this is the designated "private" class A block i.e. packets destined for these addresses will not be routed). In binary the addresses are: 00001010.00000000.00000000.00000000 through to 00001010.11111111.11111111.11111111.

I am working on a macOS Catalina version 10.15.7 as a host of a Virtual Box VM:Centos 7. Same problem . The bridge adapter did not make a difference, but only with an adapter Attached to : Host-only Adapter and Name :vboxnet0.

2019年8月20日 · @BreakingBenjamin netstat sometimes uses a shorthand where it just lists the network portion of the address (omitting the host portion); in "192.16.1" three octets are listed, indicating 8 octets = 24 bits of network portion.

You cannot, of course, use the first or last IP in a subnet (e.g. 10.0.0.0 and 10.0.15.255) for hosts as these are required for other purposes. The first IP is used for the network address and the last as the broadcast address.

I've seen the following forms for network addresses: 10.1.1.0 172.16.1.0 192.168.1.0 I usually see 192.168.1.0 for my home network address.

2019年7月26日 · Since OP question is looking at topology, I would add that this changes behavior when mapping - /24 will preserve the first 24 bits (eg: 255.255.255, or 192.168.0) as "fixed network" and iterate the remining 24 bits.

2017年3月29日 · Basically the printer is having trouble reading the memory chip on the Cyan toner cartridge. Once wasy you can get around the issue is to go to the troubleshooting menu and choose the item disable cartridge check and when the printer says ready, diagnostics mode you will be able to print without any errors since the printer will not be checking the toner cartridges.
