2020年8月22日 · So, Ive been shooting a DD Govt Profile 1:7 5.56 10.3" barrel on my SBR for a few years. I just built a second upper with a identical contour, chamber, twist barrel but 11.5". I have heard of noticable velocity jumps from 10.5" to 11.5". I found it hard to believe but wanted to test it for myself.

I use 11.5" but recently got a 10.5" Switchblock barrel I'm waiting on Noveske to make a rail for (which I'm supposed to test and review when it comes out so we'll see!). 2019年10月15日 · Took the old 10.5" 5.56 and turned it into a 12.5" 5.56, but a .22 conversion kit sits in it. Had so many left over parts that I built another 10.5" 5.56 as a trunk gun that has never been fired or left the safe.

2020年11月5日 · Reliability of the 10.5": I have built 5 PSA 10.5" barreled pistol including the one you're looking at. I have never had an 11.5". My 10.5"s have been built and shot with carbine buffers, H1 buffers, and H2 buffers. All have worked flawlessly with 5.56 55 grain, 62 grain, and 77 grain loads. Whatever size PSA drills their gas hole, it just works.

2019年9月7日 · In regards to dwell time vs port sizing, I am not sure if it is that simple. 10.5's run harder than 11.5's which run harder than 14.5 which run harder than 20's. if adjusting port size was viable, why wouldn't every 10.5 manufacture make a 10.5 with that runs at the same pressure as a 20 inch gun.

2018年6月29日 · P.S. My go to rifle/s are 16 inch barrels, I have a 20 inch M16A4 clone and this 10.5 inch for fun. I am aware of the limitations of this weapon it is basically for minute of front door from across the living room and killing soda cans lol.

2018年9月9日 · 10.5" is made for door kicking. It frags to 50y with 77gr and doesn't frag at all with 55gr. 11.5" will extend your frag range to 75-150y depending on if you are shootin .223 or 5.56 power loads. The 16" will frag to about 290 yards.
