2008年11月9日 · I’ve had an 11.5 sbr for years. It has a 12.5” barrel cut down to 11.5 so that it would have a slightly smaller gas port size. For the longest time, I didn’t think it was capable of cycling unsuppressed until I Stopped shooting weak ammo.

2013年7月13日 · The 10.5" and 11.5" were both stainless Noveske barrels. All three were tested with the same PST 2.5-10X32. All three were wearing Geiselle SD-E triggers. All three had SLR adjustable gas-blocks. the 10.5 and 11.5 were full Noveske builds. The 14.5 is mostly a Battle Arms development build. All three were put together by Impact Guns in Ogden, UT.

2019年2月22日 · To be honest I have tried the VLTOR A5 system in both a 16 inch upper and a 11.5 inch upper that would limp brass out the ejection port when suppressed. the Spikes buffers I found were the best. FWIW I have tried every buffer from VLTOR in multiple A5 extended buffer tubes with various buffer springs. Its a waste of money IMO.

2020年11月30日 · OP, I have an 11.5 Hammer Forged BCM barreled upper. I run a Black River Tactical threaded insert at .067 and use a blue Sprinco carbine spring and H2 buffer. Thousands of rounds through the gun both with and without a suppressor (Allen Engineering AEM2).

2020年1月20日 · Just make sure you have or buy a lower that you like, then submit the Form 1 for the 11.5” upper. Or get a pistol lower/complete 11.5” gun and submit that way. I have 5 SBRs all from Form 1 with way less wait time than a Form 4 factory SBR. I used to do the Clone 10.3” thing but am really happy with my 12” and 12.3” guns now.

2024年3月10日 · And based on various endorsements I decided to replace it with an 11.5" Barrel. At least with PSA, they use the A2 configuration, so the extra inch is HBAR thick steel, and I can feel the weight addition - adn don't like it. I'm seriously considering pulling the 11.5", and mounting a 10.5" again, for the more handy configuration.

2009年5月13日 · My 11.5" barreled carbines are about 27.5" long with the CTR stock collapsed and using an A2 birdcage hider. One inch of 27.5 inches is represents 3.6% of the weapon's overall length. A 10.5" barreled carbine, set up the same, would come in at about 26.5".

2020年10月8日 · Realistically, the terminal effectiveness of an 11.5" 5.56 is going to become quite poor before 500 yards. You can push it out to about 420 yards with BH 77 gr TMK, but most other loadings are going to be worse - M193 is going to become relatively marginal at 100 yards, with SMK not doing much better at around 150 yds.
