The Cannone da 135/45 OTO 1937 was a 135 mm (5.3 in) 45-caliber naval gun built for the Regia Marina in the late 1930s. Built as a response to the French Canon de 138 mm Modèle 1929, it was meant to have the same range as the widespread 120 mm gun, but with less muzzle velocity and less dispersion. [1]

The U-5TS (production designation 2A20) tank gun is a 115 mm-calibre weapon that was fitted almost [a] exclusively to the Soviet Union's T-62 main battle tank. It was the first smoothbore weapon designed for tanks, [2] and heralded the change in main armament from rifled cannons.

The Self-Propelled Gun, Avenger, A30, was a tank destroyer, still armed with the same 17-pounder gun of the Cruiser Tank Challenger. Both were registered under the A30 denomination. The Avenger emerged as a new way to mount the excellent 17-pounder tank gun in an armoured motorized vehicle.

These new 13.5" (34.3 cm) guns were found to be very reliable and accurate in service with exceptionally low barrel wear. As the design had been given a considerable safety margin, it was decided that later ships could use a heavier shell to increase their hitting power still further.

2022年3月24日 · When i remember correctly the 135mm was never mounted onto a tank. This should be the first Type 90 prototype called TKX-0001 with its 120mm gun.

Initially, the T-10 was going to use the 2A84 135mm cannon, an experimental up-gunned tank cannon, however the 2A84 has yet to produce "satisfactory" results to enter series production. Another gun, a 2A83 152mm cannon was considered, but it was determined that the 125mm worked well for the threats that existed now.

2014年1月19日 · On the 135mm, Bagnasco’s book on Italian Battlesips Cavour and Duilio said the 135mm for the Cavour were to be mounted in the existing secondary turrets after modifications. They have two photos showing these but no mention of the new mounts were DP.

2023年8月17日 · There were 2 versions (STC-1 and STC-2) that were fitted with a made in Japan cannon the 135mm Gun by Daikin Industries. After some intensive test they changed the canon to a 120mm L/44 cannon built by Mitubishi Heavy Industries.
