2025年2月16日 · The most economical new range ammo in my area is PMC 230gt FMJ and Magtech 230gr FMJ, both are clean and accurate in my 1911 and supply good brass for handloads. Winchester 230gr JHP for defensive loads.

2025年2月14日 · PS: Be careful with Blazer when shooting with a ported gun. Some coatings may affect the ports/barrel. Atlas also recommends PMC 124 which is the only ammo I use. Speaking with Infinity, they also recommend PMC. It's a bit more expensive, but to me, don't cheap out on ammo when you have a high tier pistol.
.45 ACP Suppressor Ammo Recommendations | 1911 Firearm …
2025年3月8日 · I only use quality production ammunition in my various 1911, suppressed or not, and haven’t seen a large difference in sound reduction across all subsonic ammo. On the range low end I use American Eagle 230 gr. and on the higher end my carry ammo, primarily 230 gr. HST, Gold Dot, and Bonded Ranger.

2024年12月28日 · Winchester Service Grade 115g FMJ 9mm is the most accurate (non-match) ammo I've tried. Shoots pretty clean, but it's also pretty spicy (1300fps) for practice ammo. You can occasionally find it on sale at Ammunition Depot. The Winchester White Box is also pretty accurate. A little hotter than Blazer. It's on sale for 0.23 cents/rnd at Ammo Depot.

2023年8月8日 · I don't plan on shooting these +P+ loads frequently. My regular carry load is an Underwood 124gr Gold Dot going about 1200fps. That is probably considered +P. I handload my training ammo to match my carry ammo but use 124gr ball instead of Gold Dots. So the gun will see a good volume of +P pressured ammo. My range ammo is normal pressure 9mm.

Remanufactured Ammo Incident | 1911 Firearm Addicts
2024年12月23日 · Factory ammo is not immune to this. I had the same thing happen with some Federal 115 grain ball ammo a couple years ago. I heard something fall on the garage floor, looked down and saw a bullet and powder. Unloaded the mag and pulled the box of ammo out and I could easily pull several bullets out with my fingers.

Different 9mm. Ammo. | 1911 Firearm Addicts
2024年9月30日 · All depends on how there loaded, 147 is usually loaded to make power factor for USPSA and IDPA and the 147 had a better chance of knocking over the steel plates with one shot. that being said, You always have to look at the FPS of any ammo, I hate when they don't tell you that. 147 grain with a FPS of say 1150 which makes it super sonic, gonna kick, might need different springs, BUT it would ...
+P ammo in 1911's - 1911Forum
2009年9月5日 · What 1911's? What parts broke? How many rounds in? It is my firm belief that permanent crush-cavity is the only factor that matters significantly when comparing handgun rounds. +P .45 rounds can OVER-expand and their diameter is LESS than a non +P round in the case of many well-designed rounds like the Ranger T-series, etc.
