
Federal Motor Truck Company - Wikipedia
The Federal Motor Truck Company was an American truck manufacturer headquartered in Detroit, Michigan. The company was founded in 1910 as Bailey Motor Truck Company by Martin L. Pulcher, who would later found the Oakland Motor Car Company, which launched the Pontiac GM companion brand in 1926.

1930-1939 was the third decade of Federal's existence. Of course, the Stock Market Crash of 1929 led to The Great Depression in the early 1930's. In this time, Federal's sales dwindled to around 1,500 a year, which was comparatively good compared to many other companies of the time, many of which didn't make it.

This listing is for a superb original and totally un-restored 1948 Federal Model 16M2 1-12 ton truck chassis with cab. Due to the decal on the doors, I believe it was originally used as a bulk fuel delivery truck or a fuel tanker at a local airport.
