2015年6月21日 · Looks like I'm picking up a mix of YZ's next weekend. 78 and 79, so I need to know where to get parts, plastics, etc. These bikes will be my first resto/race bikes... Shock/fork mods, engine parts, etc... Any upgrade suggestions? Thanks for any help you can provide.

2010年7月31日 · I bought these and had a build thread going that I didn't keep up with. A pair of 1978 Yamaha YZ250's. Both bikes are 100% complete, nothing is missing.

2013年3月11日 · I have considered making a small run of the 3rd, 4th and 5th gears, plus improved shift forks and pins as a drop-in kit for the YZ250. I've considered machining new pairs, (or just the left side) engine cases to allow dropping in the 450F parts too.

2013年4月3日 · Used to have a bunch of that 78-79 YZ250 stuff. Couple of engines, cylinders, ignitions, most any related engine part. Had a new 250 in 79, and in later years , used those engines in my short track bike. Only had one ignition failure, the pulse coil on one of the stators took a dump. They are the sealed plastic type on those bikes.

2006年8月15日 · I am getting new plastic for my 1978 YZ250. I want to clean the tank up to match everyhting else. It has some scratches and just that dirty, stained look to it. I was going to try sanding and buffing it out. Any tips?
