2022年2月25日 · All jobs in the Army have some percentage of suck, an that depends much more on the unit's leadership than the type of unit or MOS within it. Think about it -- in every branch, skill, or MOS someone likes it enough to do 20+ years and retire. Many someones. There's something that's a good fit for almost everyone. Even if they are cooks.

2022年7月6日 · Not 19K but I served hand and hand with them in the 3/4 U.S. Cavalry and the 3rd ACR as a 19D a long long long time ago. Get used to being in the motor pool. Learn to love vehicle maintenance.

2024年3月17日 · In regards to 19k being used as dismounts during the Global War on Terrorism, this is true. Since after the invasion the use of tanks was significantly reduced but more boots were required to conduct security tasks. 19ks were one of a few MOSs to cover down on this.

19K in the Guard was amazing, but civ-techs do most of the motorpool stuff for you between drills. 19K on AD, from what I hear, is a *lot* of motor pool work compared to actual tanking... Reply reply

2024年6月13日 · My #1 mos choice is 19K since it's one of the most readily available for prior service, plus I still wanna be in some kind of combat related mos. I'm an 0311 by trade, and currently with 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance battalion in Camp Lejeune, so I already have a good understanding of how armored units work.

2020年1月19日 · 19K here. •E5 comes quick. I made it in my secondary zone. Points are stupid low. Not uncommon to see 4 year staff sarnts •Gunnery is a lot of fun. But you will pay for it. With long maintenance days. Maneuver training is IMO the most fun. But you will pay for that too. •The tank's main job is to break constantly.
