The 1MZ and 5S from 1996-2001 seem to be affected. Toyota decreased the cooling passages in the engine to increase combustion chamber temperature for better emissions.

2012年10月7日 · I agree that something went wrong too. The 1mzfe is a little different than the 5sfe. There is no snap ring, instead the oil pump has the relief valve, spring, and a plug. Plug is torqued to 36-ft lbs. I was able to remove the pressure switch using 27mm socket and hook up a physical gauge. Startup - 82 psi 4 minutes - 48 psi 10 minutes - 14 psi

2017年10月8日 · Only modification was a SRI, strut bar, and some misc suspension. You should be able to do this method as how I did below by removing the entire stock airbox for additional room. This process should be very similar for the Gen3/4 1MZFE. I'm able to this on my friends 95 1MZFE as well, although removal of different things.

2010年10月24日 · here you go you just saved a whole lot of money compared to the aem CAI for 1mzfe! :thumbsup: in these pics i did a really quick polish job using a couple grit sandpapers but next summer i'll remove it and do a real polish job with buff wheels and compound and then i'll powder coat it candy transluscent red!
