2009年9月7日 · Thanks survyor2m, my 1G is long overdue for a few more upgrades and a bigger turbo. Honestly I expected more 1G bashing than this. There's no shortage of cheap aftermarket turbo kits for the 2L, don't bother trying to push the factory twins to that power level.

2018年3月30日 · Reading on other forums, there are reports of this engine and turbo combination making full boost by 4000 RPM. I’m currently in the process of swapping in another factory turbo 1G-GTE engine to see if the issue is with the current motor itself. A good time to check over things with it all apart, if anyone has some insight.

2016年1月29日 · To upgrade the 1G-GTE you should buy the following performance parts: boost controller, front intercooler, blow-off, fuel pump Walbro 255, cat-back exhaust system, Mines ECU (or other). Max boost will increase till 15-17 psi (1-1.2 bar) and you get 280-300 horsepower on a stock pistons and stock turbochargers.

2002年7月1日 · Toyota 1G-GTE Twin Turbo (updated: R34 GT-R pics!) Tired of all the 7M vs 1JZ threads? Me too. The MKIII Supra also came with a 1G-GTE Engine, which is a 2.0 I-6 Twin Turbo (CT12s) motor. I am looking for any examples of high-power 1G-GTEs (if they exist), and general 1G-GTE specs. Anyone have firsthand experience with this motor?

2012年3月2日 · 1GGTE is a great little engine, very revvy. However, in a 1500kg Supra, a bit pointless. If it was in a 900kg Clubman, then you'd have some fun. So my advice would be to do a rebuild and buy a clubman. Nice not rice! Quite light? They weigh 1350kg. Thats not light at all!

2009年5月20日 · PPL will tell you to go for 1JZ turbo engine over 1GGTE as 1JZ have more potential to upgrade to a very scary horse power figure (above 500hp !) but of course these would break your bank account for this kind of achievement unless u have ur own 'kedai potong'. But if you are satisfied with 210hp, just go for the 1g gte (air-air cooled).

2007年10月2日 · From your post it appears you have the Gen 3 1G-GTE Turbo's which seem to be quite a good thing and have been repeatably getting figures of around 170kw. They are steel wheeled so will take the abuse for at least a while

2009年1月1日 · Re: 1G- GTE TD05-16G Single Turbo Upgrade The Evo 4 (twin scroll TD-05HR) turbo would be a better bet than the earlier TD-05H, provided you don't need to rebuild it, or want to upgrade it (ie.change comp. wheels etc...) assuming you are going for a 2nd hand turbo, the Evo 4 one will likely have less km's on it also.

2005年6月5日 · There is a tiny bit of aftermarket support for the 1G-GTEU... Plan on ordering from Japan.... Big Single turbo upgrades seem to be in favor, at least from what I can decipher …

2009年3月4日 · Wanting to upgrade the turbos from the Gen1 turbos to the Gen3, as the gen3s have larger wheels etc. As i understand, there will be no problem here, though while i'm replacing them i want to arrange the turbos for better flow, i've seen this done before, but can't remember the details/benefits.
