2008年7月1日 · For a clays gun I believe the 28" would suit you a little better than the 26" (especially for trap and sporting clays). For a field gun I think that the 28" is more versatile than the 26". Not that the 26" isn't going to work, I just feel that the 28" makes for a better sighting plane for those farther shots.

I use an 870 Express 26" for ducks and a Super X-1 26" for 5-stand and have never felt a need for more barrel length. The receiver length of an auto adds about 3-4 inches compared to a break-action gun.
