2019年3月14日 · Sure probably something in the middle but,,,,, In a nutshell you won't live long enough for a 27-9 to become a sought after collector. Nice gun yeah, collector no. On the other hand a nice condition vintage 27 will never be comfortable in the field or fearless to carry.

2009年7月20日 · I shot my Model 27-9 today and I did get the "burn marks" on the cylinder. I fired 200 rounds of magnums and 100 rounds of .38 specials. But the marks were not as bad as some of the ones I've seen on other Smith and Wesson Classic revolvers. The gun did seem to clean up ok without too much effort.

2022年5月2日 · Welcome to the forum. The 27-2 was produced from 1961 to 1982. If you share the serial number from the base of the grip frame we can give you an estimate of your revolver's ship date.

2017年9月3日 · I adapt to what I am shooting, but generally I like the square butt, particularly on heavy recoiling revolvers - BUT the round butt on the shorter barrels are an aid to concealing - So I guess the word adapt is what I have been dealing with all these years . . .

There are threads concerning serial numbers vs. (soft parts) assembly numbers, refinishing marks, return for factory service marks, replacement parts marks, military property marks (of various nations), foreign proof marks, law enforcement agency marks and I am sure I am missing something.
