2020年1月14日 · Great base if everything works properly. Check all modes to make sure everything works. Hopefully it hasnt been modified too much. Expect to see a replaced power supply as that's pretty typical for the 2980/2990/2995 bases. Im sure someone here can tell you exactly what to look for under the top and bottom covers. Nomadradio comes to mind.

2022年1月12日 · I just looked up both.... the RCI 2980 pin assignment is as follows 1 - Audio Shield 2 - Mic Audio 3 - XMT control 4 - RCV control Now, the color code I see on the Turner Plus 3 mic is.... Mic Audio - WHITE Mic Shield/Gnd - SHIELD wire XMT - BLACK RCV - RED So I would say SHIELD wire to pin 1 WHITE to pin 2 BLACK to pin 3 RED to pin 4 should do it.

2018年6月30日 · anyhow there never was paste under the finals. the other 2980 i made sure it has paste under its finals plus run heavier gauge wire too. anyhow its now easy to unscrew pl 259. the fan on top keeps it cool.ive used 80 watts for far chat with a friend and it now stays cool.

2018年6月30日 · i ended up with a ft 2980 . its sorta ok,but a quirk. i adjust mic gain down below 3 ,cant be heard. set it at 4 everybody says im screaming at them. now comes the interesting part,i got a couple of those $15. flea bay yaesu chineseium made mics. set either 1 at 3 on mic gain and i get wow you sound like you in person.

2009年11月18日 · The RCI 2995 have a lot of RF power output. A radio like the RCI 2980 isn't shabby either. You will pay an extra price for the case and the meters as Mole said. I have found that running a power supply, a great export radio, a meter bridge, a decent mic, and a decent antenna will get you talking everywhere - when skip conditions are in.

2017年2月13日 · Where he says to take the two screws out to get access to the echo/delay pots my RCI 2980 has a board that is enclosed in a metal shield. You can clearly see it in the pictures I posted. Big wire plug that plugs into the shielded board goes to what looks like the frequency counter on mine.
