To get more boost and have some tunability an after market turbo is needed. A Borg-Warner S400 turbo is a good start. Around 68-72mm and the smallest split exhaust housing. Maybe $1000.

2016年1月2日 · My truck has is an '84 build, with a 2v engine. Tag on the engine says "date of service assy mfg" and is marked at 6/89. Is that it's build date? Looks like a replacement engine was put into your truck. I believe 1988 is the last year of production for the 2 valve to be put in trucks on the assembly line.

2023年8月16日 · I wish I was smarter on these differences, but i think the liner protrusion is a different shape/style between E-6 and E-7. the 4V heads have a fire ring groove to seal the fire ring to the top of the liner, that I beleive the E-6 (2V) doesnt have..

Set auxiliary spring brakes or vehicle hand brake, block wheels, and observe all safety precautions. Drain cooling system. Drain engine lubricating oil. Disconnect battery leads at battery. Mark and disconnect electrical leads, fuel lines, all linkages, air lines, oil lines and heater hoses from engine. Remove radiator hoses.

2009年3月1日 · Ya, there were 2V and 4V engines. The EM6-300 is a good little motor, too. Have one in our '90 CH. Even empty, I though the 350 in the '85 Superliner I drove was a gutless turd. The thing was geared low and had a direst drive 9spd as well. No O/D gear. Maxed out at a whopping 52mph on the big road. Foot flat on the floor! :bang: :bang: :haha :haha

2011年11月15日 · Can you put 4v heads on a 2v block? Probably wouldn't be a good idea in the long run. If It did work you'd be putting a lot of stress on a cam not meant be pushing twice the valves with a different variation and possibly timing.
