2009年9月22日 · The 2ZZ makes for a more suitable powerplant for lightweight cars. In Australia they use it for rwd kit cars like the Birkin S3 Clubman, mated to the Ford Type 9 5-speed. Problem with the Type 9 is that it would be strictly for N/A use behind a 2ZZ, it wasn't design to hold more than 200 lb/ft of torque.

2004年5月7日 · The trick with a RWD conversion is that the 2zz is in the wrong orientation (side/side rather than front/back). From what I have found out in researching this, it is easier to replace the engine with a RWD oriented motor (e.g. 3SGTE), than to rotate the 2zz (won't fit without major changes in the firewall metal).

2005年9月20日 · There are a couple of PDFs on the net covering tech aspects of both the 1ZZ and 2ZZ. Both share the same GBX and engine mounting points but internally they are very different. RAW did loan a seized 2ZZ engine from Fensport to do the conversion but they have concentrated on the 4AGE 20V.

2020年6月7日 · The 2zzge doesn't have any good motor mount provisions for a RWD application since the OEM engine mounts are on the PS side (so pointed forward in a RWD application) and on the trans bellhousing. IIRC there are some M12 bolt holes that could possibly be used but seem undersized...
