We have a 21 JLU with the 3.6 manual, and 3.45s. 6th gear is essentially useless, unless you're driving somewhere as flat as south GA. 5th is a little better, but doesn't pull hills well. "The 8 speed trans did it's thing." I don't know about that trans in a Jeep, but in a Hemi Ram, it's a thing of beauty.

All 3.6 JKs use the non PUG (Pentastar Upgrade) and it wasn't until 2018 when the JLs were released that they updated the Wrangler engine. 2013年7月2日 · The 3.8 was introduced as a new engine in the general Chrysler lineup in 1991 based on the 3.3L V6 introduced in 1990. My biggest complaint about the engine is that it was originally designed as a front wheel drive minivan engine. It seems to me that it was stuffed into the JK as a stop-gap until the new 3.6L could be fully developed.

2014年9月3日 · Yes the challenger and pick up are rated for 305 due to better breathing of the intake exhaust. The worst rated 3.6 is in the 200 at 280.
