300 is a 2006 American epic historical action film [4][5] directed by Zack Snyder, who co-wrote the screenplay with Kurt Johnstad and Michael B. Gordon, based on the 1998 comic book limited series of the same name by Frank Miller and Lynn Varley.

Daxos is one of the characters in the film 300. Daxos is likely a commander or the King of Arcadia. He meets up with the Spartans when they are heading to the Hot Gates (Thermopylae).

2007年3月9日 · Leonidas welcomes the Arcadians, in spite of their lack of training compared to the Spartans. The Greeks eventually arrive at the Hot Gates in time to witness a powerful storm sink many Persian ships.

While they are marching out they meet with another group – the Arcadians. The leader of the Arcadians says they heard that Sparta was going out to fight against Xerxes and they are here to join. But he is surprised at the small number of men the King brought with him.

The 300 Spartans don't fight alone at the Thermopylae, they are joined by an army of volunteers from Arcadia (North of Sparta in central Peloponnese). Arcadians didn't train for war all their life and are less experienced and organized in combat than Spartans, but they are nonetheless brave and eager to fight.

King Leonidas : Well, that's an easy choice for us, Arcadian! Spartans never retreat! Spartans never surrender! Go spread the word. Let every Greek assembled know the truth of this. Let each among them search his own soul. And while you're at it, search your own. Daxos : I saw those ships smashed on the rocks. How can this be?

As they march north, they are joined by a group of Arcadians and other Greeks. Arriving at the narrow cliffs of Thermopylae (referred to as the "Hot Gates"), in sight of the Persian army, they build a wall to contain the Persians' advance immediately in front of their position.
